ACSS Header 1
Title I Parent and Family Engagement

Family Engagement means the participation of parents and family members in regular, two-way, and meaningful communication involving student academic learning and other school activities, including ensuring:
1. That parents play an integral role in assisting their child’s learning.
2. That parents are encouraged to be actively involved in their child’s education.
3. That parents are full partners in their child’s education and are included, as appropriate, in decision-making and on advisory committees to assist in the education of their child.
4. The carrying out of other activities, such as those described in Section 1116 of the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA).

As we continuously seek to improve Parent and Family Engagement in the Appling County School District, we want to know how well the schools and the district are doing in meeting the needs of families. By completing this survey, you will help evaluate the effectiveness of our Parent and Family Engagement Program. All information provided is confidential and will be used to assist with future planning for parent and family engagement activities and events in the district and schools. Your opinions and suggestions are valuable, and we thank you for your time to complete this survey.

Appling County Elementary Complex, Altamaha Elementary School, Fourth District Elementary School, Appling County Middle School, and Appling County High School are school-wide Title I schools. Families are invited to provide suggestions and ideas to improve our Title I programs and plans. Together...we can make a difference!
