Back to School Student Supplies

In preparation of the 2022-2023 school year, CARES Funding will be used to purchase "Back to School" general supplies again this year for all students in grades Pre-K - 12.  Parents will be asked to provide only personal items such as bookbags, calculators, etc.  This is an effort to relieve some of the hardships caused by COVID-19 on our families and communities.

The Ministerial Alliance will be doing a health & job fair where they will give away bookbags and a few small items on Saturday, July 23rd from 10 am - 1 pm at the Baxley Church of God.  We hope you have a safe and enjoyable summer.  We look forward to an outstanding 2022-2023 school year.Back to School Supplies

ACSS Highlights

Appling County High School is awarded school accreditation through Cognia.

On January 24-26, 2022, ACHS participated in a school accreditation engagement review conducted by a team of educators representing Cognia. During the three days, the team interviewed students, parents, ACHS faculty, staff and administrators and ACSS Board Members as well as reviewed school documentation. The evidence and information allowed the team to evaluate the school’s performance against the 28 performance standards established by Cognia.

Following engagement reviews, Cognia provides institutions with an Index of Education Quality score that ranges from 100 - 400. The ACHS earned an IEQ score of 350.50 which is well above the average IEQ range of 278.34 to 283.33
