This morning at 8:30 AM Governor Brian Kemp signed into law SB25 into law with Trey Studstill, a representative of GAPT, present for the event.  This bill reverses the changes that were made by HB 978 during the 2018 session.  Senator Bill Heath sponsored the bill within the Senate, where it passed with 55 Yea votes and 0 Nay votes.  Within the House, it passed with 171 Yea votes and 0 Nay votes.  With Governor Kemp’s signature the law immediately changed.

Here is a link to the bill As Passed:

Please share this information with your local media so they can assist us in getting the word out to those traveling on our roadways across the state.  Basically, unless separated by a grass median, unpaved area, or physical barrier all traffic traveling in both directions MUST STOP for a Georgia school bus while loading and unloading students.

Make sure you let your local Representative and Senator know that you appreciate their support towards this important piece of legislation.

We must protect 100% of our students, 100% of the time!!
