Federal Programs

Appling County School System aligns programs, initiatives, tools, and resources
across the district around Georgia’s System of Continuous Improvement framework
to focus on and support instruction, professional capacity, a supportive learning
environment, leadership, family and community engagement, and the whole child.

The goal of Federal Education Funding under the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA)
is to provide all schools and local N&D Facilities with supplemental financial
resources and assistance to ensure equitable access to a high-quality education
and to achieve proficiency on the state’s high academic achievement standards.

The Appling County School System, Department of Federal Programs, collaborates
with the Georgia Department of Education and the Georgia Department of Audits
to monitor expenditures, conduct audits, and perform physical inventories. Federal
Programs Monitoring processes ensure that all students in the school system have
a fair, equal, and significant opportunity to obtain a high-quality education in a safe
environment.
