Deputy Dupree

Appling County School Resource Deputies are employed by the Appling County Sheriff's Department and work together with the Appling County School System to protect the students, staff and visitors on our campuses.  Our School Resource Deputy (SRD) provides services to our school such as safety inspections of the campus, classroom visits, school investigations, assistance with student and parent conferences, along with numerous other activities including traditional law enforcement duties.

Meet Deputy Dupree

Welcome students and parents of ACPS.  I am Pam Dupree, School Resource Deputy.  I am employed by the Appling County Sherriff’s Department and have been serving ACPS for two years.  Law enforcement became an interest back in 2011 when I started my career in the field. I joined the ACSO as a jailer in 2018 and received certification as Deputy in 2019.  At that time I was offered the opportunity to join the resource division and am currently serving as a School Resource Deputy for my second school term.  My passion for mentoring children has led me to further my education and seek a bachelor’s degree in psychology.  I hope to receive this degree at the end of spring 2021.

Being a Deputy allows me to serve the community alongside the school system.  I enjoy building rapport with our students, staff and community. Being inside the school building on a daily basis has allowed me the opportunity to build relationships with our students. Since joining ACPS, we now have a program in place called the “Junior Deputy” program which encourages and challenges students to be high achievers academically and socially.  They are rewarded for their efforts and get the opportunity to shadow me during my daily duties. This program is not only rewarding for our students, but me as well. Seeing the smiles on faces as I walk the hallways make every day worthwhile!
