Appling County Primary School is identified as a Title I school as part of the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA). Title I is designated to support state and local school reform efforts in conjunction with state standards to improve teaching and learning for students.  Title I programs must be based on effective means of improving student achievement and must include strategies to support family engagement.  All Title I schools must develop a family and parent engagement policy with the support of all stakeholders in the learning process.
