The Staff at Appling County High School are committed to all students to stimulate their development as individuals so that, upon graduation, they are equipped to pursue their personal goals and productively contribute to our global community. Our commitment is demonstrated daily in an environment where every student has the right to learn and to achieve his or her full potential. Our students are exposed to a variety of instructional approaches in an environment that encourages academic excellence. Opportunities are created which enable our students to become confident, self-directed, life-long learners.

All students are challenged to receive the outstanding education that they need and deserve. A multitude of opportunities are available for students to participate in extracurricular activities, including clubs, performing groups, academic and athletic teams, and community service events. These experiences allow students to cultivate their unique interests, talents and skills while also developing friendships and creating lifelong memories.

This handbook is a valuable resource for you and your student. Our goal is to create a strong home and school partnership that will help our children succeed in their high school career.
